The most important point of the design process is sustainability. The design of the building takes into account the importance of natural light, placing most of the rooms around the courtyards. The interior is organized around two rows of courtyards, which are developed along the east-west axis, corridors with classrooms and offices run parallel creating an access solution that could be considered a “corrala”. The patios fade into the second floor to create a freer volumetric space in the heart of the building to focus on the edges of the building in order to reinforce the concept of clear forms and an enclosed building. The inner enclosure wall is formed by prefabricated panels attached to the structure of the building. |
