本城墙加固并重建的工程是通过两个概念不同的方案来实施的。一方面，是对San Bartolomé 教堂下方区域的城墙外围的加固，在此地由于城墙有挡墙的功能，起支挡构筑物的作用，所以对其外部那些已经与内部脱落的砖石进行更换和加固是非常必要的。这一加固工程将延伸至城墙最东边部分的城台及现在还存在的城墙的最高点。 另一方面，是对一段城墙的局部改造，这一改造有双重目标：其一是增强城墙朝向城门部分的线性结构，其二则是为了扩大向远处山谷以及Val小教堂的视野。因此此一方案的使用将直接打破城墙的连续性，从断裂处允许我们在城墙之内观赏远方的古罗马式的喷泉和小教堂。此断裂口两边的两面城墙高度并不同，由于一边是保存下来的平墙，而另一边则由于岁月的摧毁而完全重建，所以高度较低，使我们能在城墙的里边欣赏到远处的景色。
