El proyecto del museo etnográfico de Jazan se inspira en la fortaleza árabe como referencia principal, y además en las cabañas de paja que se encuentran de forma dispersa en la ciudad y que forman parte de su horizonte urbano. Esta idea se diversifica en 3 propuestas que incorporan las celosías y los patios interiores como recursos de la arquitectura árabe para mejorar el comportamiento del edificio en clima cálido, además de proponer cada una de ellas una cubierta particular que se relaciona con el entorno del mar, las cabañas o la arquitectura árabe tradicional.
